Skincare Favourites

For the new year, one of my resolutions is to take better care of my skin. To do this I’ve told myself I need to spend more time cleansing my skin, in order to see changes. But not only is your skins appearance due to your skin care routine, its also has a lot to do with your diet and lifestyle.  Luckily for me I eat a very clean diet and try to avoid processed foods and added sugar when I can. Drinking water is another very important thing to consider when in the process of clearing your skin. Water hydrates your skin and cleanse it, EVEN try putting some lemon in it occasionally, because lemon detoxifies the body, leaving the skin looking fresh and radiant.  I’ve only been trying this routine for two weeks now, and have found my skin looks and feels softer, but also the amount of pimples on my skin has decreased. I’m absolutely loving my bigger and slightly more elaborate skin care routine as it really doesn’t take long and my skin has been thanking me for every minute of it.

I’m forever on the hunt for products that are going to make my skin feel and look all the dewy//bright//loveliness that I dream of. When I’m feeling eughhhh and my skin is looking tired and moody my fave thing to do is have a pamper eve. This Kiehls turmeric and cranberry seed energising and radiance masque has worked wonders for my skin. This masque exfoliates the skin but also makes it look more hydrated.

Glamglow are known for there masks and now I understand why. This mask burns your face when you apply, but after a while it calms down. My skin after applying this mask felt SO soft and fresh. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with problematic skin, because it really digs into the pores of your skin and cleanses them.

Korres Water Lily Body Milk

Summer time calls for a good moisturiser. During summer my skin gets very dry from constantly being in the sun, so to take care of it I like to moisturise it daily, to prevent it from peeling or flaking. This is my first time using a Korres product and I have to say I would definitely buy other products from this brand. This moisturiser I’ve been using daily and have found that my skin look and feels healthier.  I don’t know if it’s because I have dry skin, or if my skin just loves this stuff, but it absorbs so quickly and leaves my skin feeling bright and moisturised!

Origins is known for making improving the skins imperfections, by using natural ingredients. Lately I’ve been experiencing acne on my forehead, but after using this mask I find it controls the size and redness of my blemishes.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

Finally the Mario Badescu facial spray. This product I’ve been using for a while now and it is one of my skincare must haves. Not only does this bottle last a long time, but it also is SUPER cheap for skincare products. This facial spray is perfect as a priming base for make-up, or even before bed. The mist is refreshing, hydrating and can be used anywhere, at anytime. I love a good mist in general, but I’ve got a feeling that this is not only going to do my skin wonders, it’s also  gonna help when it comes to waking up in the morning!
